Judging the Judge

A major part of a human being's life is spent in judging! Life is a travel through many many judgements of right and wrong. The judgements are not just to decide between the right and the wrong in our own journey, but also to differentiate the rights and wrongs in our neighbour's life too. Religion plays a major role in creating the criteria for judging others. Many of us are constantly spinning around circles trying to figure out who is right and who is wrong!

The 'Christian Way' of judging now a days are based on who is getting saved. From the Bible, guidelines and exact boundaries are drawn by the scholars and they judge according to these rules and regulations and sort out those who will reach the God in heaven. In Christian philosophy, preaching has much importance. The rest who are out of the man-made boundaries and those who are not reaching heaven according to the worldly scholars are injected by the Word of God so that they may get saved too, and come under the boundary.

It is not that far before when I asked my sister in Christ on her opinion about condition of trees, animals etc in the next world. The criteria I had to argue with her at that time was that no one except humans can proclaim Christ with its mouth. How can one enter the kingdom of God if he/she cannot proclaim it loud! Then what happens to the baby that was never born, the child that never spoke and the man that never had a fully functioning brain? How are they saved? Are they saved by the divine grace of the Almighty Lord? Is there conditions and boundaries drawn for their salvation too? Prophet Jeremiah said the Lord knew you even before you were born! Who draws boundaries to the millions of creatures in the world? Humans or the Sovereign Lord?

The God preached in the Bible never created anything to be destroyed. Circumstances made Him punish the humans for the misdeeds. But in the same Bible, we read about the God who has sent His own begotten Son to carry the sins of the world. Thy Love to the sinful world is unimaginable. The Way is Christ, and the Way is in Christ, and there comes salvation. Question is, is it following the guidelines that the humans created from their limited brain capability, or does salvation have a wider view point, beyond our thoughts and intelligence? Our God is a personal God and is the God that stays next to you, but at the same time is the God of all creation. He is the light that created the Sun, which is so bright that our eyes cannot tolerate. Imagine the glory of the God who is riding with us in our life journeys. How easy is it to understand the process of salvation created by the creator of all creations? My brain function will not be even able to read through the boundaries.

But, unfortunately, we often see people shrinking the unimaginable in to pages and books and provide salvation as a tablet that can be taken one night to get in through the doors of heaven! The Judge is Judged by those who will get judged. The judgement of God is pre-planned by the sinful humans unfortunately not knowing that the power and plans of God are above the understanding of human beings.

These thoughts bring me to the question: What is salvation? Who will get saved? What is the criteria? Salvation, I understand as a constant process of getting closer to God. To be more specific, it is the process of unifying with the divine. But is the criteria for those who get saved drawn by humans or by God? I believe that the divine grace of God is the driving power behind the process of salvation taking place in each and every individual. Understand the fact that God never made the creation to be destroyed. Humans are made in the likeness of God, or humans are Icons of God. The Christianity today should not be bothered much in finding out who will be saved, but its focus should be more in understanding the likeness and the image of God seen in each and every human around the world. Let Christ draw the criteria on whom will get saved. I am only a humble servant who is not even worthy to question the decision of my master, but is here only to obey and faithfully receive the blessings. Praise be to Him!
